I loved how easy it was to visit the breathtaking Tepozteco, just under 4 km away, and enjoy the lush surroundings of Parque Nacional El Tepozteco, which was only about 4.5 km from the hotel, making it perfect for weekend strolls and nature walks.

The stay at Hostal De La Luz was quite revitalizing. The architecture seamlessly integrates with nature, creating a serene, calming atmosphere. Mountain views were breathtaking. I thoroughly enjoyed the sound bath. it was a unique experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, assisting with translations since my Spanish skills are limited. However, I faced a few issues. The coffee served at the restaurant lacked flavor, more like dark hot water. Only one bottle of water was provided for a room intended for two, which was insufficient. The check-in process was slow, taking much longer than expected. Additionally, there were flies during meals when dining on the patio, and it took a while for the hot water to come through in the shower. Despite these drawbacks, the overall peacefulness of the property made it an enjoyable retreat.

I enjoyed the sound bath and found the massage extremely beneficial. The staff were helpful with translations, which made my experience smoother despite the language barrier.
